Meeting charismatic friends

Timothy (in photo) and his friend, Joshua, were AirBnb guests a couple of weekends ago. It turned out that they were Christians too, and rarely does that happen through AirBnb! They were charismatic, a side of the faith we in our household are less acquainted with. Well, except for Carmel -- she used to be part of a charismatic church. But Jon and I have more of an academic approach our faith and tend to seek understanding of truth rather than supernatural experiences -- and that's true for Carmel too. Timothy is paralyzed from the waist down, which was a catalyst for his becoming a Christian last year, and he believes that God will heal him when the time is right... whenever it will bring God the most glory. Meanwhile, he has prayed for people and seen others healed miraculously. They prayed over us, prayed for healing for Carmel since a few years ago she contracted Lyme Disease, and now has "Chronic Lyme." They prayed in tongues, and prayed that we would speak in tongues. We were open to speaking in tongues, but it didn't happen for us. :) Rarely do AirBnb guests become friends like this, instantly... we were blessed that this happened for us. They stayed well after check-out. We hope to cross paths again.
